Top Ten Tuesday (Ten Books I NEED NOW)

For this week, I’m doing a Top Ten Tuesday Tag which is a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. This Tuesday’s Theme (ALLITERATION, YEAH!) is: Ten Books You’d Buy Right This Second If Someone Handed You A Fully Loaded Gift Card

Let’s get this party STARTED. These books aren’t in order of most wanted to less wanted, they’re really not in any particular order, which I suppose IS an order.

  1. Rat Queens Volume 1: Sass & Sorcery by Kurtis Wiebe and Roc Upchurch
  2. Lumberjanes Vol. 1: Beware The Kitten Holy by Noelle Stevenson and Grace Ellis
  3. Vicious by V. E. Schwab
  4. Adorkable by Cookie O’Gorman
  5. Wake: A Novel by Anna Hope
  6. Asleep by Krystal Wade
  7. Giant Days Vol. 1 by John Allison
  8. Jessie Kasper by Bradon Nave
  9. Deeper: A Novel by Robin York
  10. Kill School: Slice by Karen Carr

I wish I could explain why each of these caught my fancy, but it is so very late and I am so very tired. It’s safe to say that all of the synopses are what drew me in and I would just die of happiness if I could buy them all. Plus, since I’d get the kindle version for most of them, I’d have plenty of money left over for A TON OF MORE BOOKS! There are SO many other books I would love to buy, but alas, books are $$ and my bank account is :(. (Between you and me, Deeper by Robin York is #1 of the top ten, then comes Lumberjanes, and then Rat Queens, and then Adorkable. I haven’t thought about the rest.) I know not all of these are Young Adult, but they’re still in my Top Ten.

What about you? What are the top ten books you would buy if you received a gloriously fully loaded gift card?

The Sunshine Blogger Award

Oh my gracious!! I got an award! My first award! Thank you Casey @ Adoptabookaus for nominating me!

  • Thank the people/person who nominated you.
  • Answer the questions from your nominator(s).
  • Nominate eleven other bloggers and give them eleven questions.

I’ve never done this before so let’s get this party started!

1. What is your favorite book you’ve read this year?

Oh gee. Why this question? I’ve only had about 11 5/5 star rated books this year and of those, I liked 10. I’d have to say…it’s honestly a tie between The Lie Tree by Frances Hardinge and The Boy with Words by C.E. Wilson. Buuuuuuut. If someone threatened to light my entire collection of books on fire (or delete all of my kindle books) I would say The Boy with Words by C.E. Wilson. That book was magical.

2. Most Anticipated Release? ONLY ONE.

Uuggh. Just one? Okay. I PROMISE THIS POST ISN’T JUST A HUGE PROMO FOR C.E. WILSON. But. I’m actually really interested in her New Adult book This is Me. It’s out of the ordinary and not my usual cup of (peppermint) tea, but it struck my interest and I want to read it. Plus, I haven’t found any books in the Young Adult genre that haven’t come out yet that I’m interested in,. Oops.
